The All-New Stealth Series

Flatline
The Noise

The quietest bowhunting clothing is built around contact noise, not just fabric rustle. That's the whole idea behind the new ASIO Stealth Series: a jacket and pant in brushed high pile fleece, built for the calm 35–50°F mornings when nothing in the woods is covering the sounds you make.

The sits that make or break a season aren't always the windy ones. They're the dead calm ones. The ones where you check the forecast the night before and see zeros across the board.

Those are the mornings Stealth is for.

Why does noise matter more on calm mornings?

Wind is cover. Most mornings the leaves are moving and the limbs are creaking, and the little noises you make in the stand get lost in all of it.

Some mornings, nothing moves. Whatever sound you make is the only sound in the woods, and a buck at twenty yards hears every bit of it. Your sleeve on your ribs. Your knee on the platform. The zipper you didn't think about.

Here's a common mistake: wearing the same windproof shell on a calm 40° morning that you'd wear in a 15 mph north wind. Windproof is great when it's blowing. When it's dead still, you want the quietest face fabric you can get. Different morning, different jacket.

Quiet gets close.

What actually makes bowhunting clothing quiet?

When we built Stealth, we ranked what mattered in order and built backward from the top.

1. The draw. That second and a half where your arm comes across your chest and everything you've got on gets tested at once. If your gear makes noise anywhere, it makes it here, at the worst possible moment.

2. Contact noise. Brush, bark, the climb, the seat. The sound your gear makes when your body moves around inside it. Most "quiet" fabrics are quiet when you rub them together in a store. The woods test something different: what happens when the fabric drags across bark or a branch slides over your shoulder.

3. The little stuff. Cuffs that finish clean at the glove. Pockets you can reach with a harness on. Simple details you might overlook but play a crucial part in a successful hunt.

Why brushed high pile fleece?

We chose the face fabric for one reason: contact noise. Brushed high pile fleece stays quiet against bark, brush and itself, so the pass of your arm at full draw and the shift of your legs in the seat don't carry.

The tradeoff is honest. It's highly wind resistant, not windproof. That's the deal you make for the quietest face fabric we've ever put on a jacket, and on a calm morning, it's the right deal.

What makes the Stealth Jacket different?

  • Patented bowhunting collar. The tapered collar keeps fabric off your string and your anchor at the moment that counts. (Here's why we built it.)
  • Removable hood. Internal zip-off hood so you can adapt when conditions change.
  • Chest hand pockets. Hands stay warm up high, above your saddle or harness and a short move from your bow.
  • Form fitted cuffs. Snug at the wrist so nothing bunches, catches or drags.
  • Concealed storage. Two angled chest pockets and two standard hand pockets.
  • Tree harness pass-through. Keeps your safety setup clean and comfortable in the stand.

What makes the Stealth Pant different?

  • Full length side zip. Hip to cuff, so the pant goes on and off over boots and dumps heat on the walk in.
  • Articulated knees. Shaped to move with you on the climb and in the seat.
  • Zippered thigh pockets. Storage right where your hand lands when you're seated.
  • Built for contact. Quiet when your knee drags the platform or your legs shift on the seat before the shot.

Stealth or Sherpa: which one should you wear?

Wind makes the call. Calm or light wind, grab Stealth. Steady wind, grab the windproof Midweight Sherpa Jacket.

On the colder calm mornings, run the Midweight Puffy Jacket under Stealth. Together the system is nearly windproof and still dead quiet. Fit-wise, both Stealth pieces are a standard fit built for mid season layering. If you run heavy layers underneath, size up.

Who is Stealth for?

You know who you are.

  • You check the wind the night before and see zeros across the board.
  • You close the truck door with two hands.
  • You run Stealth Strips® on anything that might click.
  • You put your whole setup on in the living room and draw your bow just to listen for a rustle in the arm.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Stealth Jacket windproof?

No. It's highly wind resistant, not windproof. The dense pile cuts cold, still air, and running the Midweight Puffy Jacket underneath makes the system nearly windproof. When it's really blowing, wear the windproof Midweight Sherpa instead.

What temperatures is the Stealth Series built for?

Stealth is built as an outer layer for roughly 35–50°F with calm to light wind, which is the heart of mid season for most of the whitetail range.

Should I get the Stealth Jacket or the Midweight Sherpa Jacket?

Let the wind decide. Calm or light wind, grab Stealth for the quietest face fabric we make. Steady wind, grab the windproof Sherpa.

How do Stealth sizes fit?

Both pieces are a standard fit designed for layering in mid season conditions. If you plan to wear heavy layers underneath, size up.

What camo does the Stealth Series come in?

The Stealth Jacket and Stealth Pant both come in ASIO RAPTOR CAMO®.
