The Kit
Description
The woods are on fire. Scrapes are fresh, does are moving, and bucks are on their feet all day. Cold mornings, biting winds, and long sits define the grind. The Mid Season Whitetail System is built for this battlefield—deadly quiet, windproof, and warm enough to carry you through the unpredictable mid-season push. From the first frosty breath at dawn to the last arrow of the rut, this system keeps you locked in and lethal when the action is nonstop.

The mid season starter system
You can't climb down. That's the whole problem.
Rut week is the one stretch of the year where the best thing you can do is nothing. Stay put. All day. While every deer in the county is on its feet and the one you're after could show up at any hour of it.
Where it runs
This is the backbone — four windproof pieces and the hoodie that ties them together. Add midweight baselayers underneath and the same setup carries you into the twenties without changing anything on the outside.
Five pieces, five jobs
-
The closest shots of your year happen this week.
Midweight Sherpa Jacket Windproof shell over sherpa fleece — warm, low bulk, and quiet enough to draw on a deer at fifteen yards. $269 -
All-day sits mean your legs go still for hours at a time.
Midweight Sherpa Pant Windproof outer, sherpa lining, cut slim enough that standing up to shoot stays easy and silent. $219 -
The one piece you'll reach for from October straight through the rut.
Midweight Hoodie Your anchor layer. Wears alone on mild sits, drops under the Sherpa when it turns. $169 -
Your hands do every job that matters — nock, range, draw, release.
3-Layer Windproof Glove Three bonded layers hold heat and stop wind cold, thin enough that your grip and release feel exactly the same. $59 -
You'll hear him coming long before you see him.
3-Layer Windproof Beanie Windproof and sherpa-lined, cut low-profile so the heat stays in and your hearing stays open. $39
The guy who kills a good one in November is usually just the guy who stayed.
Straight answers
Before you buy it
01What temperature is this system actually for?
Down into the 40s as it ships. That covers the bulk of October and November for most of the country — the rut, all-day sits, and the stretch of season you'll hunt hardest.
Some guys run it as-is into the 30s. Past that you'll want to start layering underneath, and with the right layers we've had guys hunt this same setup in the twenties and teens.
02Do I need to add baselayers, or is this ready to hunt?
Ready to hunt in the 40s as it ships. This is your starter system — four windproof pieces and the Midweight Hoodie that ties them together.
Below that, start layering underneath. Into the twenties and teens you'll want heavyweight baselayers plus a vest or the Midweight Puffy under the jacket for additional insulation. The outer layers never change — you're building underneath them.
03How does sizing work across five pieces?
You pick your size on each piece separately, so a large jacket with a medium pant is no problem. Order your typical size — the outer layers are already cut to fit a baselayer and a midlayer underneath.
And if it shows up and something isn't right — we'll send you a prepaid label to exchange it. You shouldn't have to guess at this from a size chart.
04What does the Midweight Hoodie do that the jacket doesn't?
It's the anchor. On mild sits it wears alone, and when it turns it drops right under the Sherpa without adding bulk at the shoulder.
Most guys find it's the piece they reach for most across the whole season. Everything else in this system is windproof; the hoodie is the layer that makes the rest of it work.
05Why buy the system instead of the pieces?
Because it's complete. Head, hands, torso and legs, all built for the same conditions and meant to layer together.
Rut week is the wrong time to find out you're one piece short. This is the whole setup in one go, with your size picked on each piece.
